Ben Nielsen – General Manager

Ben began working at Yates Automotive as a 17 year old student at T.C. Williams High School. He has literally worked from the ground up starting in an entry level position in the afternoons cleaning the service bays, parking cars and fixing tires. After years of training, Ben moved up and became a Service Advisor in the office. After several more years of training and with his great attitude and hard work he was promoted to the Assistant Manager and then the Manager of the station. This was a huge responsibility at such a young age and he handled it with great respect. He met his wife Erin, who was a customer, at the gas pumps and they have been married for 7 years and now have three children. Since that time, Ben has become the General Manager of the business, which includes our second location in Kingstowne, VA. It is a large service station with 12 gas pumps, 2 diesel pumps and a convenience store which is open 24 hours. Yates Express Lube and Auto Repair is also located there and is open 7 days a week. After 14 years, Ben has learned every facet of the Yates organization and continues the commitment to customer service and the highest in quality auto repair.
